Technology
AOI — Art of Implosion — is a light-and-sound wellness technology, designed by AOI and engineered and manufactured in Germany by Happersberger Otopront GmbH, with manufacturing certified to ISO 13485.
Precisely calibrated light and sound are designed to guide the body from a state of overload towards deep restoration. It is built on multisensory integration: the brain responds more powerfully to synchronised light and sound together than to either alone.
The light wavelengths are chosen to energise the body and support recovery, and the soundscapes are composed to calm the nervous system and ease stress — all within one dedicated, cohesive environment.

The promise
What we mean by making time.
It is the first thing we say, so it should be the first thing we explain. AOI is not offering you a faster hour. It is offering a different relationship with the one you are already in.
A session is built to give some of that time back. People come out with attention, clarity and calm they did not walk in with, and the hours that follow have more room in them. Not time saved. Time made.
How the chamber does it is the surprising part: light surrounds the body from every side, the shadow the mind normally uses to track time disappears, and with it the usual sense of how long you have been in there. That is the mechanism, and it is explained below.
Time itself is not being altered. Making time describes an experience, and an intention within the AOI framework — not a claim about physics or medicine.
The mechanism
How it works.
Time
Our key differentiator
Outside AOI, light comes from one direction and casts a shadow — for most of human history, that shadow was how we tracked time. Inside the chamber, light surrounds the body from every side. The shadow disappears, and with it the usual reference point the brain uses to locate itself in time and space. With less competing sensory information to process, attention turns inward, shadow collapses and with it, time collapses.
Making time.
Light
Full spectrum colour therapy
The full visible spectrum is engineered for a specific physiological effect, delivered together as one calibrated program to stimulate the mitochondria in cells, supporting energy, recovery, skin and other benefits.
Sound
Frequency-based regulation
Precisely designed frequencies shift the nervous system out of “fight or flight” toward a restorative parasympathetic state for enhanced wellness, performance and recovery.
Light and sound are the mechanism. Time is the differentiator.
Delivered together — including synchronised 40 Hz light and sound studied at MIT for attention and memory — multisensory stimulation engages broader neural networks than either alone.
The programs

The AOI colour spectrum
All five wavelengths sit in the current AOI panel.
- Wavelength
- Physical effect (research)
- Red 620 nm
- Collagen density, wound healing
- Green 520 nm
- Chronic pain / migraine reduction
- Blue 465 nm
- Acne lesion reduction (antibacterial)
- Yellow 570–590 nm
- Wrinkle & pigmentation reduction
- Violet ~400–450 nm
- Antimicrobial, wound healing, vasodilation
The client journey
Sessions run in cycles of ten. The first phase is 300 sessions, which is what makes client visits recur rather than repeat.

Wavelength effects reflect published research on light in these bands; they are not claims about AOI as a medical device.
The elements
Light, sound, frequency, space.
Light
Programmed light, colours, patterns and sequences form the visual environment. Different wavelengths and visual sequences can be incorporated depending on the program and the AOI system in use.
Sound
Sound and frequency form a second layer. The acoustic system is integrated into the environment itself, so sound reaches you as a property of the space you are in. There is no separate speaker to attend to.
Frequency
Different frequency-based elements can be incorporated into AOI programs. No single frequency is treated as an isolated intervention. Each one is combined with light, sound, timing and the surrounding environment, and the composition is what a program is built on.
Space
The physical architecture is itself part of the technology. You enter a dedicated environment in which the visual, acoustic and spatial elements work as one system, and that integration is what reduces ordinary distraction.
