Own an AOI
AOI began as a session you visit. It is also a system you can own — the AOI Light Chamber installed in a private space, supplied with the DETOX 1 program and an owner's manual written for individual owners and their households.
Ownership does not change the session. It changes the rhythm around it: the chamber is simply there, and the AOI methodology becomes a sequence of ten-session cycles — 10, then 100, then the 300-session journey, which Johny Dar suggests completing within approximately one year for anyone undertaking the full intensive process.
What follows is what arrives with a system, the programs inside DETOX 1, the chamber's features and its full technical specification — the numbers to check before anything is decided.

What comes with a system.
The AOI Light Chamber
A dedicated environment rather than a device in a room: over 100,000 full-range colour LEDs across 12 m² of panel, a HiFi system with subwoofer, and continuous silent air flow.
DETOX 1
The foundational AOI program, included with the system. It carries the complete light-and-sound experience — programmed light patterns across the panels together with sound compositions designed for them. During DETOX 1 the eyes stay closed, and opaque black AOI eyewear is supplied with the system.
Liquid Gold
The first composition, and the recommended starting point. It ships with every system, and it is the piece the opening cycle keeps returning to. Shorter versions are used for the first ten sessions; the durations are set out with the programs below.
The structured journey
The methodology is organised in repeating cycles of ten, each session taking a different conceptual perspective — Mind, Heart, Gut, and onward to Integration. The milestones run 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 200, 300. These are conceptual layers, not anatomical structures.
Programs and upgrades
After the introductory cycle, the further DETOX 1 programs become available. After 300 sessions you may become eligible to progress to DETOX 2, which requires the appropriate software and program upgrade. New AOI experiences released for your system are handled the same way.
The owner's manual
Version 1.0, effective 17 August 2026, prepared by Dr. Aliya Kanatova following the Johny Dar methodology. It covers safety, session conduct, the programs, cleaning, maintenance and support, and is read alongside the manufacturer's current Instructions for Use.

The programs inside DETOX 1.
Liquid Gold
The starting point and the program you return to throughout the cycle. Full composition approximately 56 minutes, shortened to 23 or 34 minutes for the first ten sessions. Choose the duration by how you feel and the time you have.
Migraine
Designed for relaxation and support during periods of migraine-related discomfort or sensory overload. The manual is explicit that a session should not begin during migraine aura, severe headache, acute dizziness or nausea, and that medical conditions remain a matter for professional medical advice.
Jet Lag & Deep Exhaustion
Designed for periods of travel fatigue, jet lag and physical exhaustion — or simply for when your system needs deeper rest and recovery than an ordinary night allows.
Mental Fatigue
Designed for periods of mental overload, intensive cognitive work or mental exhaustion, with a focus on rest, reset and mental recovery. In the focused ten-session protocol it is also the composition used at sessions three, six and nine.
Kids / Creative Mode
Designed to support imagination, creativity, playfulness, new ideas and an open, exploratory state. Like every AOI program, it is used one person at a time.
Visions & Insights
Designed for moments when you feel stuck, or would like to look at a situation from a different position — old relationships, breakups, unresolved emotional experiences, relationship-area stress. Nothing needs to be consciously searched for or forced.
Shape Up
Designed with a focus on body awareness, physical form and weight-management intentions, used alongside appropriate nutrition, movement and recovery rather than in place of them.
Immune Boost
Designed with a focus on general wellbeing, recovery and the body's natural resilience, particularly during periods of increased physical or environmental stress.
Sexual Trauma Healing
Designed as a supportive experience for exploring body awareness, emotional responses and experiences connected with sexuality and intimacy. Nothing needs to be remembered, revisited or relived — if something arises, observe it without forcing. This program is not psychotherapy and does not replace appropriate professional trauma-focused care.
Important
A name describes a focus, not a result.
Program names and descriptions represent their intended focus within the AOI methodology. Individual experiences vary, and the names should not be interpreted as guaranteed outcomes. You do not need to know which frequencies or combinations sit inside a program — the light patterns and sound tracks have already been composed together.
These programs are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent medical or psychological conditions. AOI is not a medical device. For medical conditions, including migraine or other persistent symptoms, continue to follow appropriate professional medical advice.
The chamber
How it is built.
Colour and light
Full-range colour LEDs across 12 m² of panel line the chamber on every side. The light field surrounds the body; nothing is pointed at it. Rhythm and sensation arrive in synchrony.
Surround sound
A HiFi system with subwoofer delivers spatial audio inside the chamber. Sound and light are composed together and played together, so the two arrive as one event.
Fresh air
Continuous, silent air flow keeps longer sessions comfortable — invisible and uninterrupted, with nothing to adjust from inside.
Climate control
Optional air conditioning, fully configurable to the venue or event it is installed in.
Tablet interface
The chamber is operated from an external tablet PC — simple, and usable by non-technical staff or household members.
Modular construction
Fully modular, with disassembly possible at any time. A chamber that is installed today is not permanently committed to the room it is standing in.
Service access
A dedicated hatch allows direct access to the electronics, and all parts and modules are individually replaceable. Servicing is work for qualified technical personnel, not for the owner.
The space inside
Approximately 4 m³ of interior volume. The current system is intended for one person at a time, standing or in an appropriate stable seated position where that is safe.
Crafted for AOI
The chamber is crafted exclusively for AOI in Germany by Happersberger Otopront GmbH, a medical device manufacturer, which designs, builds and certifies the physical chamber only. The programs and the methodology are AOI's own and are not endorsed by the manufacturer.

Outer dimensions
2,500 × 1,800 × 2,500 mm. Height × width × depth of the chamber as it stands, before access space is added around it.
Inner dimensions
2,200 × 1,260 × 1,600 mm. Height × width × depth of the interior, the volume the light field surrounds.
Weight
Approximately 1,500 kg. Floor loading is worth confirming for upper floors, roof terraces and older buildings before a site is chosen.

Over 100,000 full-range colour LEDs, distributed across the panel surface.

The manual quotes this two ways: approximately 3 × 3 m including material and access, and an installation footprint of approximately 6 × 6 m. Plan against the larger figure until a site survey confirms which applies to your room.
Transport
Approximately 7 Euro pallets. How the chamber travels, in modular form, before assembly on site.
Assembly crew
2 persons. Assembly and disassembly are carried out by two people; disassembly is fully possible at any point.
Certifications
CE certification ongoing. Certification of the physical chamber sits with the manufacturer and is in progress. AOI is not a medical device.
Preview
The AOI Light Mini.
A smaller overall format, the same experience, and more attractive pricing. The Light Mini is previewed in the owner's manual as planned and soon available — which is not the same as available. There is no delivery date to quote and nothing to order today.
If the footprint of the current chamber is the thing standing between you and a system at home, say so in your enquiry. An authorised AOI provider can confirm where the Mini currently stands.
Ownership
Installation, service, support.
Installation. The chamber travels on approximately seven Euro pallets and is assembled on site by two people. The manual gives the installation area both as approximately 3 × 3 m including material and access and as a footprint of approximately 6 × 6 m, so plan against the larger figure until a site survey settles it. The construction is fully modular, so it can be disassembled again at any time.
Service. The manufacturer's current documentation requires qualified technical personnel for maintenance, and specifies a formal safety inspection every twelve months — electrical safety, door operation, Emergency Stop, LEDs, sound, air conditioning and general condition. Do not open, modify or repair electrical components yourself; unauthorised modification may compromise both safety and warranty.
Support. Technical support, and program and software support, both run through your authorised AOI provider. Approximately one year after beginning your journey, or as you approach 300 sessions — whichever comes first — that is also who to ask about what comes next.
